WEST WORCESTERSHIRE MP Dame Harriett Baldwin has offered support to residents affected by a fire at multiple homes in Pershore.
The blaze at Lancelott Court, off Three Springs Road yesterday afternoon (August 13) left one person needing medical treatment. Thirty properties were evacuated and two hundred were left without power.
The MP thanked emergency responders for getting the fire under control and reminded local people to be vigilant about the risk of fires after the region saw multiple such incidents.
Dame Harriett said: “My heart goes out to everyone affected by yesterday’s shocking fire in Pershore.
“Our brave firefighters deserve a lot of credit for their professional and speedy response and thankfully the fire was brought under control.
“Anyone who cannot return home should access help at Pershore Leisure Centre. Constituents who need my support should get in touch with my office for assistance.
“I politely remind everyone to manage the risks during this exceptionally hot and dry weather when fires can very quickly get out of control. Please put cigarettes out safely and avoid using disposable barbecues, bonfires and fireworks.”
