WEST WORCESTERSHIRE MP Dame Harriett Baldwin will join colleagues and a host of business people to respond to the Budget announcement which is due on November 26.
Two days after, Dame Harriett will be joined by accountant Ernst & Young tax experts and local MPs Mark Garnier and Bradley Thomas to answer questions on the Chancellor’s announcements from an audience of local companies.
Last year, the Budget announced a series of measures which have hurt business confidence including extra employment costs, higher business rates and spiraling wage bills.
Worcestershire businesses will be able to share their responses with their local MPs and they can find out more information by visiting https://buytickets.at/droitwichandevesham/1925582
Dame Harriett said: “Our local businesses create the jobs and growth which our country needs, yet each week I hear testimony of companies which have cut back jobs and growth plans because of punitive higher costs imposed by Rachel Reeves.
“I have called on the Chancellor to scrap her plans to raise more taxes and to reverse many of the measures that have caused local businesses to cut investment and jobs.
“This is a great opportunity to feed in specific concerns to MPs so that we can raise questions in Parliament.”
