WEST WORCESTERSHIRE MP Harriett Baldwin has this week praised a team of care workers who will be making sure a handful of seriously disabled residents get the best possible Christmas.
Harriett visited the FitzRoy care facility in Malvern to meet with residents and workers who provide round-the-clock care for people with serious mental and physical health conditions.
The facility is part of a national network which has operated for more than 50 years across the UK providing long-term care support for local people.
The MP toured with Deputy Lieutenant of Worcestershire, Andrew Grant, who is an ambassador for the charity and chief executive Anna Galliford.
Harriett commented: “It is enormously humbling to see the work carried out at FitzRoy and see the amazing, selfless work carried out by the staff throughout the year.
“One of the best parts of my job is to get the chance to visit places like FitzRoy and personally thank the staff who do an incredibly difficult job so well.
“I am grateful to Andrew and Anna for taking the time to brief me on some of the challenges they face as a local employer and have agreed to take the message back to Westminster that we must do all we can to support operations such as this.”
